Creating Moonlight effect using Adobe Photoshop CS6

Hello everyone, i show how to create a moonlight effect using adobe photoshop


here is the step by step tutorial

1. Download a Cloudy Nature in Google  or click here to download

2. Open adobe Photoshop (I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS6)

3. After Open it, Click File > Open (Open your Cloudy Nature)


4. Click Image>Adjustment>Color lookup in the side of 3DLUT File, Change it to Moonlight.3DL and Press "OK"

5. After that, Download the Moon. click here to download

6. After Downloading the Moon, Open it and then Drag to the Cloudy Nature, if you don't know how to drag a picture, just follow this other Step

 •Click File>Place and then Select the Moon Picture, After that click "PLACE" and then     Enter after you place the moon , convert it to Rasterize Layer, right click to the moon layer and then Click Rasterize Layer.


7. After Placing or dragging the Moon picture to the Nature Cloudy Layer, resize it bt pressing "CTRL+T" after pressing ctrl+t , press "Alt+Shift" to maintain the perfect circle of the Moon and then resize your moon. and press "ENTER"

8. Rename the Layer to Moon. Press CTR and click  to the moon layer select the moon

9. Go to New Layer Icon and Press "CTRL" and then click on it, this make a new layer bellow the active layer. we fill our circular layer with white because our background is white, just press "CTRL+DEL" to fill the circular layer, Rename to Circle
 Since the white circle is under the moon layer panels it has hidden under the moon. lets delete the selection by Pressing "CTRL+D"



10. Click the fx button and then select outer glow.Click on the color box and choose white, make the blend mode normal  and the opacity is 87%, change the size and make it 117 pixel depending on the size and resolution of your photo you may change it number.


11. click to the moon layer to make it active and change the opacity to 27%


12. lets make a copy of a outer glow of the circle layer and place it to the moon. to do this press and hold "ALT" and then drag to the moon. click the moon outer glow and change the opacity in 100% and the size 24 PX


13.go to Circle layer and Press "SHIFT" the both now selected the moon and the circle, Press "CTRL+G" to group it to 1Folder. Rename it moon.


14. click on the layer mask icon to make a layer mask in folder, anything we do in the layer mask, it will affect all the layers inside the folder. Call up your brush tool or press "B" make a 200% point brush and the opacity is 65%. Brush over the moon to reveal the heavy clouds .


15. the final step is to make a Corona of lights , make a new layer, call up your elliptical marquee tool or press "M" and then drag it. Click Eit>Stroke change the Width by 20PX and Location by Outside press "OK" and then delete the selection "CTRL+D" go to the layer and press "CTRL" click on it to make it select.  drag the ring to trash Make a new layer Click Select>Modify>Feather make it 20 pixel. fill it with white, since white is our background color. Press "CTRL+DELETE" change the blend mode to overlay and the opacity by 20% then delete the selection "CTRL+D"
